Garden waste

fortnightly garden waste collections resume from Monday 13 September – that does not mean every subscriber will have a collection on that date. Subscribers should ensure their garden waste bins are ready on their first scheduled collection day in the fortnight after 13 September. Collection days can be checked via My Collection Day

If you have received a renewal reminder but already renewed, you do not need to take any action and your garden waste service will renew without any delays to the service.

Twelve month subscriptions for 2021/2022 are now available. Visit this link to subscribe.

Garden waste subscriptions for the 2021/22 year will commence from 10 May 2021. Any subscriptions paid after this date will be for a full twelve months starting from the date of payment of the subscription.  

Two-year garden subscriptions are no longer available.

  1. Request or renew garden subscription

    If you have received a renewal reminder but already renewed, you do not need to take any action and your garden waste service will renew without any delays to the service.

    Garden waste subscriptions for the 2021/22 year will not commence until 10 May 2021. Any subscriptions paid after this date will be for a full twelve months starting from the date of payment of the subscription.

  2. Request garden waste sacks

    Garden waste sacks are an alternative to the garden waste collection service.

    Manage your garden waste subscription on the Somerset Waste Partnership website, go to 'My waste services' and select 'garden waste bins and sacks'.

  3. Book a Garden Waste Sack collection

    If you wish to have pre-purchased garden sacks collected, you will now need to book a collection.

    Collections can be booked via Somerset Waste Partnership , anytime up to midday the day before your next scheduled garden waste collection day.

    To book a Garden Waste Sack collection on the SWP website go to My waste services and select 'Request a Garden Sack Collection'.

  4. Request collection of damaged garden bin

    If your wheeled bin is damaged or lost, there may be a replacement charge. New bins provided will have a capacity of 180 litres.
    You will not be entitled to a refund if you cancel the service before the end of the subscription period.

  5. Request replacement garden bin

    If you have subscribed to our garden waste collection service, you can get in touch to request a replacement green bin
