Garden waste subscriptions for 2020/2021

Garden waste subscriptions for 2020/2021 are no longer available.

Due to the disruption some customers may have experienced with the GW service at the start of the 2020/21 subscription year, the current subscription year has been extended until 09/05/2021.

Garden waste subscriptions for 2021/2022

Customers that are already subscribed to the Garden waste service will be receiving letters regarding renewals and these will be posted out from the 25th March, if we hold a current email address we will send these out via email on the 2nd April.

Twelve month subscriptions for 2021/2022 are now available using the link below.

Garden waste subscriptions for the 2021/22 year will not commence until 10 May 2021. Any subscriptions paid after this date will be for a full twelve months starting from the date of payment of the subscription.  

Two-year garden subscriptions are no longer available.

Recycle More is coming to South Somerset this June. Recycle More allows you to recycle more from the kerbside every week. Most people in Somerset are recycling, but we are making it easier for everyone to recycle even more which will reduce waste, protect your environment and help to tackle climate change. Take the first steps to being prepared by making sure you have enough containers and request more online if you don’t.

  1. Request or renew garden subscription

    Garden waste subscriptions for the 2021/22 year will not commence until 10 May 2021. Any subscriptions paid after this date will be for a full twelve months starting from the date of payment of the subscription.

  2. Request garden waste sacks

    Garden waste sacks are an alternative to the garden waste collection service.

  3. Book garden waste sack collection

    If you wish to have pre-purchased garden sacks collected, you will now need to book a collection.

    Collections can be booked via Somerset Waste Partnership , anytime up to midday the day before your next scheduled garden waste collection day.

  4. Request collection of damaged garden bin

    If your wheeled bin is damaged or lost, there may be a replacement charge. New bins provided will have a capacity of 180 litres.  

    You will not be entitled to a refund if you cancel the service before the end of the subscription period.

  5. Request replacement garden sticker or bin

    If you have subscribed to our garden waste collection service, you can request a replacement green bin or garden waste sticker by telephoning us on 01935 462462.
